We were treating my Bhai & Bhabhi to rakhi dinner & we couldn't have chosen a better place. You've to make your reservations well in advance. Nestled in a premium residential colony in west Friend's Colony, access to this luxury boutique hotel is little difficult but once there, Indian Accent is nothing short of a Mecca for food lovers.
We decided to go for their 'chef tasting menu' paired with wine.
As there were three non vegetarians & two vegetarians amongst us so we ended up tasting all the options on the menu.
Our attendant for the day was Pramod & he not only explained each & every dish in minute details, why it was paired with a particular wine but also took delight in answering all the queries we had.
Chef Manish Mehrotra along with his entire team ensures that you enjoy your meal in complete comfort and he even explained to us how they cook the ribs for three hours in coconut milk so that the fat separates and then for eight hours on slow fire to make it absolutely tender !!!!
Each course exhibited such creative skills & passion that we always ended up enjoying the one that arrived more than the previous one.
To begin with were baby naans stuffed with blue cheese followed by cauliflower & saffron soup. Thereafter arrived our starters paired so perfectly with the right wine to compliment each course. Attaching pics of menu for your reference but their menu keeps changing every three months.
Some of the dishes that deserve a special mention :
*meetha achaar chilean spare ribs, sun dried mango, toasted kalonji seeds
*tofu coriander vadai, kafir lime gunpowder
*pomegranate & churan chuski palate cleanser served in a toy pressure cooker
*stuffed duck khurchan naan
*stuffed pumpkin & cheese naan
*all the main course dines
*the entire array of desserts
We requested to change the dessert wine, which they very sweetly complied to and served us Sauternes.
Looking forward to my next visit with my son as he's a true food lover.
