Nawabi Celebrations During Lockdown
(spl inclusion: a candid video on how to make flaky lachcha paranthas at home, deploying a simple trick!)
Special occasions deserve special celebrations, whether it’s a major milestone or a personal achievement. Today happens to be really special for us, and it deserves to be celebrated in style!
I urge you to watch this beautiful piece, not because my daughter has created it but because it comes as a ‘Shining Ray of Hope’ during these tumultuous times when everything is seeming bleak and uncertain. I promise, the end will leave you all emotional yet hopeful with a solid dose of positivity, that we all are craving for at the moment. 😊
A significant goal accomplished; it's time to celebrate my daughter's win but - agh - we're still socially distancing! Not wasting myself to even a single hot second of feeling feel blue, I won't allow the lockdown to play a dampener to our spirits. Going to make my Lil one feel special and indulged, right here, at home, with 'just the right ingredients' - some soulful Sufi music, great conversation, a special candle-lit spread, and my daughter’s favorite red wine!! So what should I put on today's menu? Ummmmm, has to be family's favorite...
I see many of my friends struggling to get 'the perfect' lachchas in their paranthas. I also hear people saying that getting the layers in lachchha parantha is an epitome of culinary art that comes with years of practice. So I thought, why not bring this art to everyone’s plate! Watch a fairly simple technique that you must have mastered in your kindergarten, to make this multi-layered speciality of Punjab. Yes, you read it right, it’s as simple as a child’s play!!! Don’t believe me!! Watch for yourself :
